EBCAP to Offer Free Workshop Series in Portsmouth to Help Older Adults Prevent Falls
As we age, maintaining mobility and preventing falls becomes increasingly important. That’s why the East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is offering a valuable workshop series called “A Matter of Balance.” This evidence-based program, starting in September, is designed for older adults in Portsmouth, RI, and aims to reduce the fear of falling while increasing physical activity levels. EBCAP is committed to improving the well-being of East Bay residents by offering a wide range of health and human services. Programs like “A Matter of Balance” are just one of the many ways they are making a difference in the community.
About the Workshop
Held on Monday afternoons at the Common Fence Point Community Center, this free series will teach participants how to set achievable goals, make environmental adjustments to lower fall risks, and practice simple exercises that boost strength, flexibility, and balance.
