You’re Invited! Age-Friendly RI Community of Practice – April 11, 2025

We invite you to join the Age-Friendly Rhode Island Community of Practice gathering on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Rhode Island College, Alger Hall Room 110.

This event is for communities at all stages of age-friendly work—whether you are just beginning, following the AARP Livable Communities pathway to age-friendly, actively implementing initiatives, or looking to refine and sustain efforts. It’s a space to share experiences, discuss challenges and successes, exchange ideas, and connect with others working to create communities where people of all ages can thrive.

A key part of advancing age-friendly efforts is addressing ageism in a meaningful and intentional way. Our keynote speaker, Alrie McNiff Daniels, will explore how reframing aging narratives is foundational to creating policies and programs that truly support people of all ages.
