A new report by The Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies Sheds Light on housing cost burdens and challenges

A new report by The Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies finds that the share of households reporting difficulties using or navigating their home jumps from 8 percent of those aged 65–79 to 18 percent of those age 80 and older. Strengthening the connections between housing and services is needed to support the health and well-being of older adults. In particular, better access to assistance with personal care, household tasks, transportation, and healthcare would greatly improve older adults’ ability to live on their own safely and comfortably.
