‘Burrillville Aging Stronger’ Hosts Another Successful “Lunch & Learn”
Approximately 250 people turned out today for a “Lunch & Learn” at Wright’s Farm Restaurant hosted by the newly renamed Burrillville Aging Stronger committee. The free event, the second in a series, provided older residents a chance to catch up on happenings about town, enjoy a fabulous family-style chicken dinner, win prizes, visit with vendors, and ask questions about services available for residents 50+. Lieutenant Governor Dan McKee joined the festivities.
The Burrillville Town Council recently signed a resolution funding the Burrillville Aging Stronger committee with over $20,000 for the next fiscal year, a great signal to older residents about its commitment to healthy aging. Two more Lunch & Learn events will be held in the coming months.
