On April 4, Cox Communications is hosting its first-ever Smart Home event to showcase how future products and services can help seniors achieve connected independence. Aging experts and community groups are invited to attend this event to see up-close what the aging in place experience for older adults could look like in the Ocean State.
The event will run from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and feature a tour of an exclusive +55 custom home in the Reynolds Farm community in North Kingstown. Each room will feature myriad tools that are designed to help older adults live independently while staying connected, ranging from exciting telehealth solutions that help stroke victims receive physical therapy from their living room to devices that allow individuals with limited mobility to turn off lights or answer their phones with ease.
