Elevate food system issues in Rhode Island with the RI Food System Factbook!
Join the RI Food Policy Council on January 21 from 12-1pm for the launch of their 2025 RI Food System Factbook! This annual publication is a data-driven snapshot, incorporating the best available research, tracking the progress of about 40 indicators across five areas:
- Food Economy
- Food Access & Nutrition Security
- Agriculture & Land Use
- Commercial Fisheries & Aquaculture, and
- Climate Change
Its purpose is to raise awareness about food system issues across Rhode Island and, educate key decision-makers on ways to improve food policy and regulatory environment and increase public and private investment in instrumental components of the state’s food systems infrastructure like farmers, fishers, and food businesses.
