Funding Alert: Empower Your Community With a $10,000 Grant from RI Foundation

The Rhode Island Foundation is extending grants of up to $10,000 to local libraries, neighborhood groups, and nonprofits aiming to foster community bonds, with a deadline set for March 22nd. President and CEO David N. Cicilline encourages proposals that enrich life quality, strengthen relationships, invigorate neighborhoods, and bolster community ties.

The 2024 Community Grants initiative aims to fund projects that foster community engagement and inclusivity. Projects should focus on building social networks, enhancing quality of life, and promoting collaboration within neighborhoods or towns. Additionally, they should aim to strengthen relationships, utilize public spaces as community hubs, and involve residents in decision-making processes. Proposals are encouraged to share local traditions and prioritize inclusivity, particularly for historically marginalized groups. Supported by various funds, the program emphasizes resident-led initiatives and local commitment to community development. Learn more here…
