Paths to Progress Meeting on November 20 at Cranston Senior Center
You’re invited to an evening of learning and collaboration focused on identifying compelling opportunities that exist for mobility planning and coordination within the framework of Age- and Dementia-Friendly Communities. The evening will begin with a shared light meal, allowing attendees to connect informally before the program. Following introductions from 5:30 to 5:45 PM, David Quiroa, assistant director of Cranston Department of Senior Services, will lead a comprehensive presentation on the Dementia-Friendly Cranston initiative.
The main presentation will explore how Cranston is working to become more accessible and supportive for people living with dementia. Mr. Quiroa will highlight successful local programs implemented by the Cranston Senior Center and their partners. The discussion will focus on mobility planning opportunities and ways to enhance physical activity and transportation access for older adults and those living with dementia throughout Rhode Island. The meeting will conclude with statewide updates before adjourning at 7:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you there! Please share this with others who may be interested.
Special note: Resident volunteers from Rhode Island Health Equity Zones (HEZ) who are not already compensated for their participation are eligible for a $25 stipend. Please indicate your HEZ affiliation when registering.
