Provide Your Input on the National Plan on Aging
The Interagency Coordinating Committee on Healthy Aging and Age-Friendly Communities (ICC) is developing a National Plan on Aging. This initiative, authorized by the Older Americans Act and funded in 2023, aims to create recommendations addressing key issues facing older Americans. The ICC has released a Strategic Framework for the National Plan on Aging, focusing on four main areas:
- Age-Friendly Communities
- Coordinated Housing and Support Services
- Increased Access to Long-Term Services and Supports
- Aligned Health Care and Supportive Services
The ICC is now seeking feedback from individuals, older adults, and organizations to ensure the National Plan reflects diverse community needs. Your input can help represent the perspectives of older adults, including those facing economic and social challenges. The ICC is working with the National Plan on Aging Community Engagement Collaborative, which includes West Health, The SCAN Foundation, and The John A. Hartford Foundation.
