New York Regional Census Center Plans Series of Data Summit Events for April

Tuesday April 13th Census Bureau Data for American Indian and Alaska and Alaskan Native (AIAN) Population

Time: 2- 3:30pm |   Register HERE

This training introduces My Tribal Area, demonstrates how to search for AIAN population data on data.census.gov and the intercensal Population Estimates program, and includes methods to search for data within and outside of tribal lands.

 

Thursday April 15th Census Data for Philanthropic & Non-Profit Organizations

This summit will prepare nonprofit professionals to use Census Bureau statistics to tell engaging, relevant stories about their community’s evolving needs. Featuring data from decennial censuses, the annual American Community Survey and the intercensal Population Estimates program.

 

Tuesday April 20th – Accessing Census Data for Rural Communities

This training introduces American Community Survey 1-year supplemental estimates to address rural communities need to balance currency and sample size/reliability/precision data. The second part of this training provides strategies for obtaining rural economic data.

 

Thursday April 22nd – Statistics in Schools (SIS): Bringing Census Data to Classrooms
