Public Meetings to Discuss State’s Transit Master Plan Set for 9/17 & 9/18

Transit Forward Rhode Island envisions how our transportation network should be enhanced and further developed to best meet the travel needs of the state’s residents, workers and visitors. Developing the State’s Transit Master Plan will require leveraging data, public input, and stakeholder feedback. A key part of the process involves a series of public workshops open for all to attend to discuss and engage in discourse around opportunities to enhance the State’s public transportation system. Ensuring that the viewpoints of older adults are represented in  these spaces is paramount to building a transit infrastructure that is responsive and equitable. Thus, we are encouraging our stakeholders to attend and amplify the voice of older adults so that the Transit Master Plan and subsequent system is developed with their needs as a driving factor.
