Cranston is now part of the Global movement of Age-Friendly States and Communities

On Thursday, September 26th, the City of Cranston held a kickoff celebration at the Cranston Senior Enrichment Center to announce their membership in the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities. By actively participating in this global movement, Cranston will have access to evidence based tools and resources to ensure that their aging population is well served.  Alan Fung, the cities Mayor, noted that, “We want to ensure that our older population can live, work and play in a community that is responsive to their ever-changing needs”,emphasizing the cities’ commitment to making Cranston a great place to live for people at any stage of their lifecourse.
